A vacancy has arisen for a Sgt – Any Profession - to serve as SNCO SQN SUPPORT CONINGSBY at RAF Coningsby on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 28 September 2026 (or earlier/later, subject to candidate status). The post sits at the heart of the Typhoon Sqns aiding personnel by decreasing diversions from primary duties and supporting with operational workups and exercise preps. To orchestrate and support staff activity and output on behalf of the Typhoon Sqn Cdrs.

Responsible for:

  • Competency Management. Work with Sqn mentors to: assure monthly JPA-STARS comparison and reporting; support Trade Managers and MSF in progressing mandated currencies; maintain FE@R and Non-FE@R tracking.
  • Deployment Preparation. Maintain and update the Operational Establishment Table (OET). Where workload permits, work with Sqn mentors to: assist in readiness checks and documentation (e.g. pilot F5200s, logbooks); coordinate medical checks, WHTs; and manage Passport/VISA admin and any policy (PJHQ/AIR/11Gp etc) updates.
  • Digital Systems & Access. Act as MODNET Super User: role changes, site moves, password resets. Manage permissions for SharePoint, OneNote, MS Teams. Support Information Asset Custodian duties.
  • Administrative Support. Update CAFHQ calendars with squadrons’ events. Attend and support sqn MSF meetings where possible.
