A vacancy may arise for a Corporal (Any) to serve as JNCO Ops Flt Spt Cell on 501 Sqn at RAF Brize Norton on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 04 January 2027 (or later, subject to candidate status).
The Post:
This post is responsible to OC 501 Squadron for the provision of a ‘one-stop shop’ for all Ops Flt personnel in respect of administrative, mobilisation, tasking and training activity delivery on the Sqn to meet the roles of the unit.
Reporting to the FS Ops/Trg Co-Ord, the JNCO Ops Flt Spt is a vital member of the Ops and Trg Team who work collectively and collaboratively to ensure all Sqn personnel are supported throughout their careers.
The post is based at RAF Brize Norton. To support the delivery of Sqn output, occasional overnight stays away from unit may be required and weekend work is to be expected.

No. 501 Sqn is based at RAF Brize Norton and is a specialist logistics unit providing trained drivers, chefs, and supply specialists in support of global operations. As part of the Reserve Logistic Support Wing (RLSW) within the RAF Support Force, the Sqn trains and develops capable Reserve personnel who augment the RAF's deployable logistics capability at home and overseas

Post responsibilities:
As a member of 501 Sqn, the responsibilities of the successful applicant may include some or all of the following:
a. Act as the focal point and primary POC for all information flow between the Ops Flts personnel and the HQ providing management and administrative support to personnel outside of their Duty weekends.
b. Coordination of all trawls or Reserve Support Requests for volunteers for mobilisations/taskings.
c. In conjunction with the HR Team, support personnel through the mobilisations process including: pre and post deployment medicals; pre-deployment trade training; mandatory training; mobilisation brief; and arranging welfare and flt cdr interviews.
d. In conjunction with the HR Team, monitor PTVR attendance and the requirements necessary for personnel to achieve the Officer Commanding Certificate of efficiency (Annual Bounty).
e. In conjunction with the Training Team, support the generation and delivery of Duty Weekends, ACT, Force Development and Adventurous Training activities.
f. Collate, record and monitor the following: JMES status; mandatory training; career intermissions; transfers and terminations.
