A vacancy may arise for a Corporal (People Ops) to serve at RAF St Mawgan on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 21 September 2026. This is an office-based appointment and the post holder’s duties will include:
- Managing the creation, management and disposal of all discharges, extensions of service, identity cards (MOD Form 90) and promotions.
- Acting as the primary PD clerk for all 505 Sqn personnel, ensuring that personal records are maintained iaw current policies.
- Ensuring the custody and issue of service identity documents (F/Ident/693) and railcards.
- Ensuring all Reserve Service Day (RSD) / Annual Continuation Training (ACT) forms and attendance registers are submitted correctly and actioned to JPA in a timely manner.
- Ensuring that all JPA inputs, which affect pay and allowances, are processed in line with pay cut off dates.
- Managing the coordination of all aspects of the mobilisation / de-mobilisation process.
- Liaising with AIR HR South West permanent staff for the administration of Additional Duties Commitments and Full Time Reserve Service.
- Liaising with RPMC for PTVR contracts including extension or termination of service iaw Reference C.
- Ensuring the satisfactory resolution of all pay and allowance problems for Sqn personnel.
- Acting as Deputy Unit Employer Support Officer.
- Deputising for SNCO People Ops in their absence.
- Assisting SNCO Delivery and Logs Supply Training in:
- Managing/co-ordinating continuous training and delivery for all Sqn capabilities in support of 2 Gp mission across the following employment areas:
- Operations.
- Exercises.
- Unit support.
- Liaison with Trg Team to determine Phase 3 requirements.
- Coordinating the workforce request process for the Sqn.
- Coordinating the promulgation of new and existing employment opportunities from the following sources:
- Capability owners including traditional HQs.
- 2 Gp, A1 Ops, AXP / DXP generated opportunities.
- Station / unit generated requirements.
- Annual Continuous Training.
- Force Development activities in tandem with the Trg Team.
- Adventurous Training in tandem with the Trg Team.
- Ceremonial and other unestablished commitments.
- Mobilisations.
