Healthcare Management - Head of Branch

  • Interpret senior management direction and set out a clear vision agenda goals.
  • Deliver Army change Projects.
  • Deliver clear and concise direction and guidance to the team.
  • Operate within Defence-level stakeholder networks in order to influence and lead strategic thinking.
  • Represent the 2* Director where required.
  • Build medical C-CBRN SQEP to enable organic medical support on C-CBRN deployments.
  • Advise the CO on matters including deployability, force health preparation and significant trends in medical patterns presenting.
  • Provide Role 1 medical support to the unit in barracks, on Ex and when deployed including Primary Care and Pre-Hospital Emergency Care.
  • Provide Occupational Health advice to the Unit and Unit Health Committee Meetings.
  • Ensure competency, continuing professional development and career management of medical personnel within the unit or attached to the Unit.
  • Liaise with the DPHC medical centre to ensure Unit access to healthcare, assist DPHC in Primary care provision and act as Healthcare governance lead.
  • Provide SME advice in support of Medical Planning as well as wider Force Health Protection and exercise planning for unit activities.
  • Provide CBRN medical advice, liaise with SME's to support C-CBRN specific activities including MedCM, CBRN casualty care, LAT and incident management.
  • Career Management and MS responsibilities for AMS personnel in 28 Engr Regt (C-CBRN).
