A vacancy has arisen for a Cpl (Gnr) to serve as 2622 HQ TRG JNCO at 2622 Sqn RAF Lossiemouth on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of not before 1 Sep 26. This JNCO Trg post is part of a team of four RAF Regiment instructors (2 x Sgts and 1 x Cpl) who train PTVR Gnrs and Phase 2 Gnr Trainees. Planning and training administration takes place during the week, with the bulk of training taking place at weekends. There is a requirement to work one and sometimes two weekends in a month, and to instruct up to twice a year on the RAuxAF Regt specialist trg cadres at RAF Honington.
The responsibilities of this post are:
- Instructing Phase 2 / Qualified RAF Regt Reservists during training, including range activity.
- To plan, prepare and deliver all Skill at Arms lessons including training aids to ensure the Sqn has adequate, serviceable, and current in date equipment.
- To plan, prepare and deliver all CBRN lessons including training aids to ensure the Sqn has adequate, serviceable, and current in date equipment.
- To plan, prepare and deliver all CQB lessons including training aids to ensure the Sqn has adequate, serviceable, and current in date equipment.
- To plan, prepare and deliver all First Aid lessons including training aids to ensure the Sqn has adequate, serviceable, and current in date equipment.
- Conduct Pre-FT and other tactical leadership and management instruction as required e.g. mil skills teams.
- Assist at FP Trg Flt or on other 5 FP WG FEs with instructional/range management duties.
- To assist in the booking, planning, and execution of small arms ranges and dry trg exercises/areas.
- BPT deploy to support the Sqn and RAF Regt Force in delivery of Annual Continuation Training and periods of RAuxAF Regt trg.
- To contribute to the Sqn marketing plan ISO RAF reserve recruitment.
- To maintain high standard of communications with Sqn RAF Regt Reservists regarding training across Defence-authorised social media.
- To help plan/organise Sqn adventure training opportunities.
- To effectively contribute towards innovative training development, fostering retention positive opportunities for all Sqn members.
- Book accommodation on training days/weekends for all Sqn members as requested.
- The maintenance of accurate training records of Sqn personnel, both hard and electronic copy.
