A vacancy has arisen for a WO INTELLIGENCE to serve as INT RES COMPONENT WO at RAF WYTON on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 30 November 2026.

The Intelligence Reserves Wing (IRW) WO Coord is the conduit between the IRW HQ and RAF Wyton to enable reserve working days. Routinely responsible for mustering up to 250 Intelligence Reserves for access to secure locations across the UK the WO Coord oversees the security administration for 3 Reserve Squadrons whilst developing and maintaining working relationships across the various units at RAF Wyton and the wider Intelligence community.

Responsible for

  • Being the primary RAF Intelligence Reserves POC and representative at RAF Wyton
  • Gaining and maintaining a full understanding of the role of each sqn – be they more thematic (in the case of 7010 Sqn) or geographically specific (in the case of an AOSS sqn).
  • Provide oversight and a central POC for working weekends for the whole of the Intelligence Reserves Component, whether working from within Pathfinder Building (PfB) or detached locations. Ensuring military standards are upheld by all attendees. The Tasking Co-ord will attend all IRW working weekends (approx. 1/month) at RAF Wyton.
  • Work in conjunction with Wg XO, Wg WO, SNCO Trg & Assurance and IRW recruiters to deliver Intelligence Reserve Specialist Interviews for potential Intelligence Reserve candidates.
    • 7006 Sqn:Provide the single POC between ASIC Regular staff and the Reservists, ensuring that suitable real estate is available and operational within PfB for every working weekend.
    • 7010 Sqn:Provide a single POC between NCGI and 1 ISR Wg Regular staff and the Reservists, ensuring that suitable real estate within PfB is available and operational for every working weekend.
    • 7630 Sqn: 7630 personnel will attend RAF Wyton on a quarterly annual basis.
  • Maintain a good understanding of IRW Sqn Tasks IOT, in the absence of IRW SO3 Ops, manage the IRW Task Tracker and run tasking meetings in conjunction with FS Ops.
  • Support IRW SO3 Ops by fielding Sqn tasking and prioritisation questions during working weekends and liaising with PfB customers Monday-Friday and briefing back to IRW SO3 Ops.
  • Having a comprehensive awareness of personnel availability, location and IT access ahead of a working weekend. This will be achieved by building productive relationships with each Sqn.
  • Deliver dissemination and achievability advise on Sqn tasking, considering Sqn workforce, SQEP and time capabilities.
  • Seek tasking feedback from PfB units and pass on to the relevant Sqn/Flt. Provide support and development guidance where feedback indicates completed task is not of required standard.
  • Enable AOSS Sqn personnel to attend RAF Wyton to work alongside the 7006 and 7010 Sqn during monthly working weekends.
  • Liaising with Air int Wg, JITG Chicksands to ensure that the security clearances of personnel attending the RAFIC-R are initiated and managed to enable access to Pathfinder Building immediately after graduation.
  • Providing oversight and support to the completion of Professional Workplace Assessments 1 and 2 (PWAs), formerly Trade Ability Tests (TATs), during Wyton working weekends.
  • Being a source of Wyton-based administrative, security and IT advice for all Sqns.
  • Providing a source of objective careers advice to PTVR Intelligence personnel, in consultation with IRW SO3 Ops and the individual’s sqn chain of command (CoC). CoC endorsement is required prior to any mobilisation or use of ACS/RSDs.
