Position Role: Plan and coordinate J9 Media support to both the SJC Operations Staff enabling, and the SP delivering, BAU and Defence crisis management support.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the administration and planning of SJC Operations communications, working with the RPoCs/JMCs, sS comms teams and DDC.
- In liaison with SJC Operations J35, DDC and JMCs, identify future media issues and opportunities and exploit as appropriate.
- Deliver media output for SJC Operations through engagement across HQ, including planning, content capture, clearance and press releases.
- Support J7 on Media Training and continuous improvement activity, and ensure that J7’s own output is up to date with J9 media content.
- Provide written and verbal briefs on media and communications to Comd Gp SJC and SJC Operations up to 3* level.
- Update HQ activity and maintain relationships across the wider Defence comms community, and manage SJC Operations own content.
- Maintain Operational Record Keeping of J9 Media activity on SJC Operations activity and ensure J9 Media SOPs are accurate and up to date.
- Be prepared to support all other pillars across SJC Operations as required.
