Position Role: SO2 in RC Civil Engagement (CE) branch responsible for the development of strategic direction, planning & delivery or synchronisation, assurance and evaluation of all sport related CE across Joint Military Commands (JMCs).
Responsibilities:
- Plan, synchronise, assure and evaluate RC CE operation through sport with key Target Audiences (TA) esp Young People.
- As SME, provide guidance support and direction to RC and JMC engagers on delivery of engt effect through sport.
- Maximise UK engt opportunities provided by National sporting events and liaise with Army Sport to plan and deliver activity which showcases sport in the Army. Ensure activities are planned and resourced through ATF QOP process.
- Identify Regional opportunities for engagement through sports and liaise with JMCs to link the Military to local sports clubs and deliver CE activities.
- Engage with civilian sports clubs and schools, with particular focus on EM/FEMALE audiences and geographical areas of socio-economic challenge, to develop mutual understanding.
- Record and analyse MOP and MOE and provide lessons for the future, to ensure appropriate audience engt.
- Interface with Army Sport Sports Secretaries, LONDIST and JMCs, County Sports Development officers, Sport England and National Sports Governing Bodies as required to support and coordinate activity.
