Officer Commanding and Director of Music of a sub-unit / RCAM band of 54 personnel. Band of the Coldstream Guards (Band COLDM GDS) based at RMAS, Camberley. Perform musical duties as a conductor and leader, with British Army Bandmaster Course an essential competency for the role. The successful candidate will manage, direct and lead musical performance in the State Ceremonial Public Duties (SCPD) environment, as tasked by the Army Music Tasking Authority (AMTA) and commanded by CO HDiv Bands.

Sub-unit OC responsibility for all G1 to G9, including 1RO and 2RO responsibility for rank cohorts. OC Lodger Unit responsibilities to RMAS. Regional Director of Music (RDOM) responsibilities iaw RCAM policy.

The successful candidate must have the ability to inspire and lead by example. They must be musically credible (Level 7 qual in addition to Bandmaster Cse is desirable), with a thorough knowledge and experience of military musical support. Must be able to plan, organise and delegate, reflecting priorities, and manage 50+ subordinates using excellent communication skills, both written and oral, along with a deep understanding of G1 matters. Must be an exemplar of Serve to Lead.
