Unit Role: Reserve Light Cavalry Regiment. To prepare suitably trained, equipped and motivated officers and soldiers for operations both overseas and in the UK in support of Regular units, as individuals and as contingents.
Position Role: The Regimental Mentoring Support Officer (ReMSO). To oversee, plan & deliver an effective and inclusive recruiting process to attract, recruit and mentor Army Reserve recruits and support Whole Force recruiting activities.
Responsibilities:
- Support the ROSO, SU OC and PSAO in delivering candidates through the recruiting pipeline, to achieve all missions and tasks set by the CO in support of current Army recruitment strategies, including employer engagement & employer support initiatives.
- Plan and execute sub-unit recruiting events and be prepared to support regimental recruiting activities.
- Track, manage and mentor all sub-unit sponsored candidates through recruiting & initial training pipeline.
- Initiate and exploit potential recruiting opportunities within the local areas, in line with their IPRE actions.
- Ensure all sub-unit recruiting & mentoring reporting data is completed accurately and within given deadlines.
- Effectively manage sub-unit recruiting and mentoring staff to ensure maximum delivery of recruits to SNIY.
- Must be fully conversant with current recruiting software and current on-line enlistment process, along with COT and DTTT outputs.
- Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with the following personnel & agencies: ROSO, OC, RRMT, RCMO, Senior Careers Advisor, National Recruiting Centre, Army Training Units and Armed Forces Recruiting Office.
