A vacancy has arisen for a Flight Sergeant to serve as FS Force Generation at RAF High Wycombe on Full Time Reserve Service (Full Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 04 January 2027 or earlier/later depending on candidate status.
In the role you will operate as part of Number 1 Group (1 Gp) Force Generation (FGen) team, ensuring Defence and Air Command Individual Augmentation (IA) requirements are delivered accurately and on time. Coordinate the assessment of submitted impact cases, ensuring appropriate Subject Matter Expert advice is obtained and incorporated, while exercising delegated decision authority where required. Manage and coordinate all 1 Gp FGen tasking from Air Command, preparing Impact Statements and recommendations to support SO2 decision-making.
Maintain oversight of the Group's People Picture and apportionment processes, ensuring the fair and equitable distribution of IA commitments across Force Headquarters. Support unit visits and stakeholder forums to strengthen understanding of Force Generation requirements, identify emerging issues and improve engagement across the Group.
Serve as the primary interface with Career Management, Branch and Trade Advisors, 11 Group and other Air stakeholders on Force Generation matters. Provide ongoing support to Force Support Establishments staff to maintain HQ resilience and act as the coordinating authority for workforce commitments, ensuring operational requirements are balanced against workforce capacity and organisational priorities.
