Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced first aid and use advanced resuscitation techniques including the administration of non-controlled drugs ordered by a Medical officer.
- Provide medical support on operations and exercises inclusive of Medical Evacuation in hostile conditions.
- Carry out basic nursing procedures and prolonged care, whilst initiating and maintaining casualty and equipment/supply documentation.
- Basic diagnostics, recognising abnormalities in casualty observations, body appearances and consciousness level, and reporting findings.
- Trained in Army environmental health issues at unit level.
- Provide medical training to the Army.
- Establish field medical facilities and maintain and supervise the maintenance of medical equipment.
- Maintain Continuing Clinical Education and Continuing Professional Development compliance, ensuring CMT portfolio is accredited by a Medical Officer annually.
