Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced first aid and use advanced resuscitation techniques including the administration of non-controlled drugs ordered by a Medical officer.
  • Provide medical support on operations and exercises inclusive of Medical Evacuation in hostile conditions.
  • Carry out basic nursing procedures and prolonged care, whilst initiating and maintaining casualty and equipment/supply documentation.
  • Basic diagnostics, recognising abnormalities in casualty observations, body appearances and consciousness level, and reporting findings.
  • Trained in Army environmental health issues at unit level.
  • Provide medical training to the Army.
  • Establish field medical facilities and maintain and supervise the maintenance of medical equipment.
  • Maintain Continuing Clinical Education and Continuing Professional Development compliance, ensuring CMT portfolio is accredited by a Medical Officer annually.
