Unit Role: Army Reserve Light Cavalry Regiment. To prepare suitably trained, equipped and motivated officers and soldiers for operations both overseas and in the UK in support of SCOTS DG and regular units, as individuals and as contingents.
Position Role: The Regimental Operations Support Officer (ROSO) - Support the deployment of personnel from the unit on operations through the provision of welfare and employer support as the UWO. Act as the Primary PoC for the recruitment of personnel and maintenance of the firm base trained strength and to be the Regiment’s Media Officer.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible to the CO for the delivery of all Welfare provision as the UWO.
- Responsible for the delivery of FG, elements of PDT, Mobilisation, Deployment and Decompression, TRiM and POSM across the Regiment, as the SME.
- In the capacity as secretary, responsible for the delivery of the UHC to the CO, specifically for WIS and VRM cases.
- Construct and lead for the delivery of the RARP for the Regt in line with Op FORTIFY.
- To be the PoC for both outreach and CE activity on behalf of the Regt as directed through UCE.
- To act as the Regimental Defence Media Officer.
- To deliver any other Support functions for the benefit of the Regiment for marketing and media purposes.
- To deliver any other Operational Support to the Regiment, including Employer Support as directed by the CO SNIY.
