1. Advise the Commanding Officer on matters relating to all motor transport policy and regulations.
2. Achieve the required standards for the Logistic Support and Land Equipment Assurance inspection.
3. Ensure compliance with all regulations relating to Military transport policy, current SNVe, SHE, COSHH and Dangerous Goods Transportation.
4. Personnel: Technical support to Military and civilian staff.
5. Equipment: Vehicles and associated equipment.
6. Provide SME advice and co-ordinate application of equipment husbandry measures to meet current unit LEA criteria.
7. MT Budgets.
8. Carry out the duties of a Unit Licensing Officer/ Driving Permits Officer
9. Carry out the Duties as the Unit JAMES Officer.
10. Maintain Driver Training and Maintenance Records.
11. Implement Unit MT policy.
12. Unit POL Manager/ MJDI POL F* account Manager.
13. Defence Transport Operator.
14. HAZMAT Supervisor.
15. Liaison and coordination with external logistical departments across defence. In relation to (White fleet contracts, Movement authority's, Whole Fleet vehicle Trg Pool and BDSG).
16.Use the following systems to manage and monitor all equipment; MJDI administrator, JAMES - Senior Equipment Manager and UAA, DURALS, CLARITY, MITER, VERITAS, TDOL, BUCK, BAMS and CHURCHILL.
17. Main planning officer for all Motor Transport requirements within organisation.
18. Conduct EUCD audits and assurance checks across the regiment.
19. Other duties as required, e.g. CNO/CVO.
