Unit role - Provide Firm Base support to 16 AA Bde, the Garrison Units and JMC Centre .
Position Role - SO3 Log Sp manages logistics staff activity and mandated assurance to support Firm Base delivery across the Garrison and Hub.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead logistics support across Colchester Garrison and Hub units, providing policy, governance, coordination and advice.
2. Develop and maintain logistics policies and assurance frameworks to ensure compliance with Defence and Army direction.
3. Coordinate logistics support for operations, contingencies, Estate support, resilience planning, engagement activities and capability requirements.
4. Manage and prioritise logistic infrastructure needs with DIO, RIC, contractors and key stakeholders.
5. Conduct logistic assurance and inspections, identifying risks, gaps and improvement opportunities.
6. Advise on support contracts, ensuring value for money, user satisfaction and alignment with transformation plans.
7. Lead stakeholder engagement forums; manage military and civilian staff, performance, development and workforces planning.
8. Lead engagement with military, civilian and contractor stakeholders at logistics and capability planning forums.
