| Domestic Considerations: This role is based in Army HQ, Andover. The HQ operates a hybrid working model which will apply to this post. Position Role: SO1 Benefits - Leads Army benefits realisation, evidencing funded operational outcomes and sustaining governance beyond programme closure. Responsibilities: 1. Act as the Army lead for benefits realisation across the Army portfolio. 2. Ensure programmes realise and evidence operational benefits. 3. Establish and maintain a benefits governance regime, particularly where benefits continue beyond FOC or programme closure. 4. Work with programme teams, BCMs, PMOs/PSOs and evidence providers to support benefit measurement, evidence management, reporting and assurance activity. 5. Assist commanders understand benefits as the bridge between programmes and operational effect, rather than as a standalone project-delivery product. 6. Identify benefit risks, assumptions and dependencies that may affect realisation. 7. Support closure of the feedback loop into capability development and capability management by providing evidence of whether benefits have been achieved. 8. Promote a benefits culture in which operational outcomes, value and user adoption are tracked after transition into service. Employer comments: This is a new role and will require a flexible approach until it is fully established. There may be some (minimal) requirement for travel in the UK. |
