Squadron Sergeant Major (SSM) responsible for:
Minimum of 27 RSDs.
- The welfare, conduct, discipline, dress and bearing of all soldiers serving in the Sqn both in and out of barracks.
- Operating in accordance with and enforcing current tactical doctrine and Regtl SOPs when in the field and on ops.
- The rostering of all Sqn soldiers duties, including the preparation and timely submission of parade and bed states and ration rolls.
- Assist Sqn 2IC in maintaining effective logistic support to the Sqn both on exercise and operations.
- Be prepared to deputise for any of the Sqn's officers on exercise or in barracks.
- Act as Reporting Officer for Ph 2 and Tpr/LCpls as required.
- Any additional Regtl or Sqn tasks as directed by the CO or Sqn Ldr.
- Represent the Sqn externally when required.
- Operating in accordance with and enforcing current tactical doctrine, Regimental SOPs when in the field and on Ops.
- Remain current and competent in all RAC (RACES), BCIP & ITR Training qualifications.
