Position Role: The XO acts as SSAU unit 2IC, coordinating G1–G9 tasks, liaising with command, and leading HQ development during national rollout.
Responsibilities:
- Executive Officer to CO SSAU, supporting command oversight and daily delivery of SSAU outputs. Deputise for the CO as required.
- Leads development of wider SSAU command structure post-pilot.
- Leads SSAU governance, assurance and compliance activity, ensuring alignment with Army policy, JSPs and agreed service levels.
- Provides escalation route for OC SSAU for prioritisation of resources and all MS and discipline matters.
- Acts as the primary integrating link between OC SSAU, supported units and HQ RC stakeholders.
- Prepares clear reporting, briefings and decision support for the CO SSAU and higher headquarters.
