Position Role: Surge Pool Lead manages surge resources allowing flexible, rapid deployment to meet demand and sustain core, specialist and triage services
Responsibilities:
- Lead SSAU surge capability, ensuring flexible resources meet demand peaks and maintain service continuity across all SSAU functions.
- Manage allocation and deployment of surge personnel across Core, Specialist, and Triage functions to meet operational priorities.
- Maintain the readiness of surge resources through effective coordination, cross‑training, and workforce planning.
- Coordinate closely with functional leads to prioritise surge support against emerging demand pressures and service risks.
- Monitor surge utilisation and effectiveness, providing feedback to inform workforce resilience, planning, and continuous improvement.
- Provide direct support to core or specialist processing activity during non‑surge periods to maintain operational resilience.
- Support the delivery of distributed training to part‑time volunteer reserve AGC (SPS) personnel, as required.
