Position Role: RAWO SSAU advises CoC on standards, discipline, capability, leads personnel development, ensures compliance, and supports operations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide senior non-commissioned leadership within the SSAU, being the principal advisor on standards, discipline, and workforce effectiveness.
- Advise the OC and Deputy on operational readiness, workforce capability, and the maintenance of professional and procedural standards.
- Ensure compliance with G1 readiness, training requirements, and professional standards across SSAU activities.
- Acts as key link between command and staff, supporting communication, welfare, and managing disciplinary matters as needed.
- Serve as SSAU J5 planning lead, guiding decisions, prioritising, and allocating resources to support administrative service delivery.
- Lead training for part-time reserve AGC(SPS) personnel, coordinating with Defence College of Support to align with curricula and standards.
- Serve as Unit Liaison for designated units, ensuring clear communication and SSAU awareness of unit needs, plans, and issues.
- Provide financial SME on pay, allowances, charges, benefits, handle special cases, and support Finance Lead with SSAU financial control.
