Unit Role: 3 PWRR is a light role Infantry Reserve battalion aligned and ready to support 20 Armoured Bde.
Position Role: Watch-keeping in HQ's, working alongside other units passing information in line with the CO's intent and battle space picture.
Responsibilities:
- To be familiar with current tactical doctrine and operating procedures.
- To understand and be competent in the use of HQ communications and information systems.
- To be familiar with the general organisation, division of responsibilities, command & control and staff procedures of the HQ to which or likely to be attached.
- To train as a Watchkeeper/Liaison Officer on Regular and Reserve Exercises.
- To maintain readiness to enable rapid deployment in role as required. This can include being held at R2 (5 days NTM) if desired.
- Principal RHQ Project Officer, tasked with the co-ordination of Regt level projects including AT and subordinate development.
- Be prepared to conduct any further tasks as designated by the CO or OC.
- Act as Coy 2IC or OC when required.
