Unit Role: Reserve War Fighting Infantry Light Role Unit.

Position Role: UK Ops Officer within a Reserve Inf LR Bn.

Responsibilities:

  • The Operations Officer is directly reportable to the Unit Commanding Officer or Chief of Staff.
  • They are the principal Staff Officer within a HQ responsible for the Force Preparation, Force Generation and Unit commitments.
  • Provide SME advice to the Comd Gp on commitment issues, including readiness, across all elements of the Unit.
  • Interface with G7 so that the most appropriate training for the operational requirement is received/delivered.
  • Direct the FPrep and FGen of all FEs from the Unit.
  • Manager of Unit/formation scheduling applications ensuring operations can be achieved.
  • Responsible to the CO as unit Operations Officer.
  • Provide oversight and prioritisation as required for all trawls.
