Unit Role: To ensure and assure the effective and efficient provision of Service Families Accommodation (SFA) in UK and Europe in order to enhance operational capability via the Moral Component.
Position Role: Review, interpret and where necessary seek to amend Defence's current Service Families accommodation policy, providing strategic input and support to Defence stakeholders and Policy teams where necessary to ensure policy remains aligned to current and future needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide practical policy interpretation and where necessary liaise with FLCs, CDP and MODLA Teams to help shape and where necessary amend Defence Accommodation policy.
- Deliver expert military guidance and influence into long-term policy planning for Defence Accommodation.
- Undertake wide engagement within DIO accommodation delivery to monitor ongoing processes regarding allocations, entitlements and customer engagement, to identify policy challenges and engage key stakeholders to address.
- Undertake senior stakeholder engagement with TLBs to inform long-term policy decisions.
- Deliver external and internal briefings on the current and future Accommodation policy and requirements.
- Respond to Ministerial Correspondence, Parliamentary Questions, Requests for Information and produce briefs for the CoC as directed.
- Assist SO1 SFA Policy Planning or the wider DIO Accn Delivery team as required including reviewing feedback and complaints independently where necessary, to ensure policy and process coherence.
Domestic Considerations: Core location at HQ RD Accn, Wyton, but with requirement for frequent travel to Housing Offices, MOD, TLBs and military establishments in the UK and Europe as part of routine business.
