The Defence Academy delivers high quality, relevant and progressive education and training to support Government security and defence policies, to enhance defence capability and advance the defence and security interests of the UK.
The DefAc LCaD Gp COS will act as the Chief of Staff for Hd Learning Capability and Development Group, with specific responsibilities for:
- Work as part of the LCaD COS structure to support people-focussed output and the lead staff officer for routine DefAc initiatives/projects.
- Lead LCaD POC. Manage reports/returns, liaise with Stn Cdr, HQ DefAc, SERCO, ESS to ensure LCaD staff issues are resolved.
- LCaD workforce lead. LCaD Ops & Plans Pers Rep returns, Mil/CS recruitment updates, maintain Mil job specs and CS Form 280s.
- Responsible for coordinating Mil trawls for LCaD personnel.
- Capture and support the development of future demands on Def Ac; outputs, trends, societal issues.
- Identify, analyse and evaluate data inputs to provide input to ExCo/EdCom (incl KPIs) and develop a data capture implementation plan.
- Manage end to end process for future reqts. Ensure effective handover process with J5 team and/or TPs as reqts turn from concepts to design.
- Undertake any other tasks/COS business as directed by Hd LCaD and SLT. Attend meetings and provide back briefs as required.
