START DATE NEGOTIABLE - 4 x posts currently vacant. Opportunity to become one of the new Instructors for the South West Officer Training Regiment; a newly formed organisation that encompasses both Bristol and Exeter UOTCs. These roles are ideal for anyone looking to expand their portfolio or for a Sgt who's qualified for promotion and seeking employment as a CSgt/SSgt.

These roles will be based in Whiteladies Road, Bristol although opportunities for those that are able to assist with training at Wyvern Bks, Exeter are available and would be welcome.

Domestic Considerations: RSD's 44 p.a plus more where available. Some travel and overnight duty required along with 2 weeks ADX Jun/Jul. Training is mainly held during term time, however there are other opportunities outside of these for other activities including RAAT/AITC/ALeRT Taskings. Bristol parade on a Tuesday at Whiteladies Road and, if able to commit, Exeter Training Nights are held at Wyvern Bks on Wednesdays. Training Weekends are mainly held across various locations across the South West, South Wales, Wilts and Hants.

Job roles consist of:

  • Assist Regular PSI in the delivery of training
  • Conduct Skill at Arms and fieldcraft training
  • Act as a range conducting officer if qualified
  • To teach and advise in low level Infantry tactics
  • Provide support and mentoring across a range of University OCdts from newly joined to the more experienced 3rd and 4th year students.
