Domestic Considerations: RSDs inline with current restrictions. Army Reserve post, flexibility to work late nights and weekends and exercises up to 2 weeks.

Position/Role: Squadron Sergeant Major

Responsibilities:

  • Support the 2ic in all G1, G4 and G7 efforts and be prepared to deputise for the 2ic as required
  • Control the support elements of SHQ on exercise and operations
  • Monitor and maintain standards of discipline, dress and military bearing of all Squadron members in barracks and in the field
  • Monitor and manage the level of Military skills, trade training and driver training within the Squadron
  • Provide mentoring and guidance for NCOs within the Squadron
  • Manage individual military development and continuous personal development of subordinates
  • To understudy the PSAO on all security issues including armoury and barracks checks
