1. To provide G4 and EC support and direction to the wider Battery, particularly concerning G4 related inspections, Annual Assurance and regulatory changes.
2. Responsible for the supervision and control of the Battery Equipment Entitlement, Accommodation stores, Battery Property, Expense Stores, ACTO Security and when applicable the F&L Account. Responsible for the control of all demands, stores receipts and issue vouchers using MJDI accounting procedures, In accordance with DLF. Additionally, Management of Battery Calibration Equipment.
3. Responsible for the implementation of the Equipment Care of Battery Vehicles, Trailers, Generators and other stores equipment as per the UECD. Responsible for issuing G1098, Vehicles and communications equipment both in advance and during exercises.
4. Responsible for Battery Buildings Facilities Management including dealing directly with RFCA, all Health and Safety issues with COSHH, ADR, and Radioactive items. Additionally, responsible for Fire Safety Management and the control of Hazardous Substances and its disposal.
5. Responsible for all MT related matters within the Battery. FMT 1000 Series, JAMES Fleet management, White Fleet vehicles and management of all vehicle documentation. Additionally, forecasting equipment in order to meet Battery training commitments and maintenance events.
6. Advise in the training of the Battery & Regiments reserve Logistic staff and uphold the values and standards of the British Army.
7. Responsible to support the Battery and QM’s Department with RLS for all training events including Annual Camps. This will involve unsociable hours and weekends.
8. Responsible for the Management of the Subunit Armouries including being on call for out of hours alarm events.
9. Responsible for the management of all equipment in support of Royal Gun Salutes and Op BRIDGE. This requirement is a 24hours on call commitment.
