Subject to Joint Boarding process and sS Policies, a vacancy will arise for a OR7-OR8 to serve as Live Fire Assurance Safety Team (LFAST) member at the Land Warfare Centre (LWC) Warminster on FTRS (LC) Terms and Conditions of Service (TaCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 01 Oct 26, or earlier if achievable.

Unit LWC is to deliver the Deployable Force training and education, and to drive agile adaptation of the Field Army, in order to enable success on current and future operations.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Give Units guidance on all matters regarding Live Fire assurance.
  • Coordinate with units in order to give assistance to the Senior Planning Officers with live fire assurance.
  • Conduct assurance visits to all locations, providing a written report advising recommendations and risks in range safety; this will involve being away from duty station for up to 35 nights per year.
  • Act as an inspector of training as directed by SO2 LFAST for Dismounted and Mounted Close Combat Live Firing (in all environments).
  • Assess and develop peer performance by way of Inspection monitoring.
  • Complete any additional duties as directed by SMI LFAST.
