Domestic Considerations: Attendance at Tuesday evening Drill Nights (Essential). An increased commitment would be advantageous (45-65 x RSDs). Around 10 x training weekends per training year. The individual could expect to be available for 65 plus RSDs per year, depending upon how tasks are shared with the other instructors.

Position Role: Detachment Commander - Bangor

Responsibilities:

  • Command and management of Bangor Detachment.
  • Develop and inspire Bangor Detachment OCdts (through the WUOTC Offer and Syllabus) and permanent staff.
  • Assist OsC in the planning and execution of training in accordance with the Unit Training Directive.
  • Provide support and guidance to Bangor Detachment's staff on training and administrative matters.
  • Manage the AOSB pipeline (Reg and Res POs) for Bangor Detachment, monitoring candidate progression, providing AOSB and commissioning advice and communicating Army career opportunities to OCdts.
  • Promote an inclusive culture within area of responsibility, working to increase understanding and engagement through education and initiative within the Coy staff under the authority of the Chief of Defence people sponsor: COS (I) through DDIP.
  • Other duties as directed by the CO and/or OC.
