A vacancy has arisen for a Flight Sergeant (Engineering – A Eng Tech / Eng Tech W) to serve as Hawk TMk2 Mil CAMO Quality Manager (QM) at RAF Valley on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of being not before 06 January 2027 (or later, subject to candidate status).

The Mil CAMO QM is responsible to the Military Continuing Airworthiness Manager (Mil CAM) for the effective development and through life management of the Hawk CAMO HQ Quality Management System (QMS), in order to integrate the Mil CAMO QS across all Hawk TMk2 key stakeholder organisations meeting the responsibilities detailed in the MAA Regulatory Article RA4951.

Key deliverables include:

  • Highlight non-compliances and poor standards to the Mil CAM.
  • Be responsible for follow up or closure of any QS findings.
  • Have successfully completed all relevant Air Safety training courses required with Regulatory Article RA1440.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of the organisations CAME.
  • Ensure the scope of the CAMO QS encompasses all Continuing Airworthiness activities including those subcontracted.
  • Ensure procedures should be subject to periodic review. It is the responsibility of all personnel to report any difficulties with the procedures via their organization’s internal feedback mechanisms.
  • Ensure appropriate direct access to the DDH or AM(MF) on matters concerning the QS, with that relationship reflected in the CAME.
  • Manage the Mil CAMO QS on behalf of the Mil CAM to monitor all Mil CAMO activities, including the following functions, as a minimum:
    • Assurance of personnel Competence.
    • Assurance of all CAMO tasks, processes, orders and procedures.
    • Assurance of Platform CAME compliance with Regulation.
    • Assurance of Alternative Acceptable Means of Compliance, Waivers and Exemption (AWE) submissions and subsequent AWE management.
    • Assurance of Maintenance activity conducted by Maintenance organizations is adequate for maintaining the Continuing Airworthiness of their Air Systems.
    • Assurance of all Contracted Maintenance carried out in accordance with (iaw) the Air System Document Set (ADS).
    • Assurance of continued compliance with the requirements of MAA Approval of the Mil CAMO.
    • Provision and maintenance of compliant Part 2 within the Mil CAMOs CAME document including any associated annexes and/or processes.
