A vacancy has arisen for a Squadron Leader aircrew to serve as ASWC STANEVAL 1 at SALISBURY (MOD Boscombe Down) on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 31 March 2027.
Air and Space Warfare Centre (ASWC) Standards and Evaluation (Staneval) Examiner.
Responsibilities:
- Liaise directly with all ASWC sqn cdrs on matters of flying standards, trials process and safety.
- As Staneval Examiner conduct individual Staneval checks and unit audits on behalf of the DH chain and AOC 1Gp.
- Act as FW Staneval representative within the Staneval team.
- Act as the ASWC Command Instrument Rating Examiner.
- Provide accurate and timely information to ASWC CoC through trials approval and Duty Holder boards to facilitate decision making.
- Provide SME advice on the content of ASWC staff orders, Sqn flying orders.
- Convert to frontline and/or QCFO types (nominally one of each) and maintain own flying currency, QFI, IRE and T&E Cat in order to conduct ASWC Staneval flying checks (Class Handling Checks, IRTs, T&E Role Checks, Instructor Competence Checks).
