A vacancy has arisen for an Engineering Warrant Officer to serve as the Training Requirements Authority Support for the Engineering Profession at RAF High Wycombe on Additional Duties Commitment Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 1 Sep 26 (or earlier/later, subject to candidate status).

The successful candidate will oversee the management and development of RAF Engineering training programs and play a key role in ensuring that all training aligns with the Defence System Approach to Training (DSAT) and meets the operational needs of the RAF.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop DSAT documentation for Air (Avionics, Mechanical, Weapons and Survival Equipment), Ground (Mechanical, Electrical, Advanced Manufacturing and Repair) Specialisations, and Aero Systems Engineer Officer training.
  • Provide specialist guidance to senior stakeholders, including the TRA (Hd Eng & Logs) and Desk Lead TRA (EPAT SO1), on DSAT compliance and bi-annual Customer Executive Boards (CEBs).
  • Collaborate with schools of Technical Training (DSAE Cosford & DSEME Lyneham), workforce planners, Joint Training & Delivery Teams, Requirement Analysis Wing, and other key stakeholders to optimise training delivery and meet organisational objectives to validate training requirements, course parameters, and trainee throughput on Statements of Training Task (SOTT) and Statements of Training Requirement (SOTR).
  • Ensure that DSAT documentation and the Training Authorisation Matrix (TAM) are accurate, up-to-date, and fit for purpose.
  • Analyse training outcomes using data to ensure alignment with RAF operational requirements. Overseeing training analysis, Role Performance Statements, Formal Training Statements, Course Change Proposals, Defence College of Technical Training (DCTT) Forms and scoping reports, to support continuous improvements for the Engineering Profession.
  • Represent the TRA and DLTRA at meetings, roadshows, and conferences.
  • Act on External Validations initiated by 22Gp Assurance Wing.
  • Review and action Training Improvement Forms.
  • Related tasks in support of the Wg Cdr & Sqn Ldr as required.
