A vacancy has arisen for a Sqn Ldr ASOC/Aircrew to serve as Station Commander at RAF Woodvale on Full Time Reserve Service (Home Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 1 Apr 27.

The Stn Cdr – Aerodrome Operator will effectively manage both operationally and domestically a Tier 1, 2 Gp Station, on behalf of the HoE.

  • Ensure the Stn is operated in accordance with the mandated Gov, DSA and RAF statutes, policies, and regulations on behalf of the HoE.
  • Provide effective guidance and direction to all SHQ staff regarding the Stn operating function, including line management for all SHQ staff.
  • Encourage greater interoperability between civilian contracted Stn organisations and Supported RAF Units.
  • Increase the profile of the Stn to encourage greater use of both the aerodrome and Stn facilities.
  • Responsible to the HoE for the management of a SOE at RAF Woodvale.
  • Responsible to the HoE for compliance with RA 1026(2) Aerodrome Operator Responsibilities, para 3, sub paras a – n at RAF Woodvale.
  • As AO, ensure the establishment and maintenance of the RAF Woodvale Defence Aerodrome Manual and Defence Aerodrome Assurance Framework.
  • As PMC, ensure the Officer Mess remains both a successful and financially compliant institution.
