Responsibilities:
- Command and control of one of the HOTR UOTCs Aberdeen or Tayforth (located at Dundee, Aberdeen, St Andrews or Stirling).
- Promote a positive leadership culture, underpinned by the Army Leaders Competency Framework.
- Support the professional development and career management of subordinates, including mid period and annual appraisals.
- Ensure that all detachment activities take place within a Safe System of Training (safe person, safe equipment, safe place, safe practice).
- Execute an effective training programme, focussed on the development of leadership skills and behaviours, as directed by OC Tayforth / Aberdeen UOTC.
- Manage the detachment’s facilities and equipment, in accordance with the Unit Care Directive (UCD).
- In consultation with the Regt 2IC, provide advice, guidance, and signposting to OCdts as they progress through the AOSB pipeline.
- Plan and deliver specific projects, as directed by OC Tayforth / Aberdeen UOTC and CO Aberdeen & Tayforth OTR.
