Subject to formal establishment change, a position may become available for a Wg Cdr Any Profession to serve as 1 Gp SO1 Reserves at RAF High Wycombe on Part Time Volunteer Reserve (PTVR) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 01 October 2026.
Act as the 1 Gp HQ Reserve representative as directed by AOC 1 Gp, working to HQ 1 Gp Reserve Gp Capt. Provide representation at 1 Gp and RAuxAF meetings, events and conferences on behalf of the HQ 1 Gp Reserve Gp Capt. Fill existing gaps in No1 Gp AOR with available RAF Reserves SQEP exploiting all available TCoS.
Through the appropriate RAuxAF channels, utilise RAF Reservists on RSDs or mobilisation or any other appropriate method in compliance with policy to provide resilience to 1 Gp in support of its mission. Harvest regular SQEP upon exiting the RAF to enable RAF Reserves support to the front line and growth.
Champion the RAF reserves, providing representation at appropriate events, and be a point of contact for regulars leaving the RAF to enable resilience and mass in support of the regular RAF in particular the 1 Gp mission.
Act as Liaison and POC to ISTAR, CA and AM SO1 Joint Venture to enable the configuration, integration, and utilisation of PTVR capability in support of the 1 Gp mission. Provide higher HQ direction, guidance and support to the RAF reserve representatives within each 1 Gp pillar.
Undertake work on both existing and new projects as directed by HQ 1 Gp Reserves Gp Capt to enable whole force reserves capability development. This includes providing HQ 1 Gp Reserves support, knowledge and experience to support wider RAuxAF and RAF projects aimed to develop and improve reserve integration and utilisation.
Liaison with Dep RAuxAF Inspector to ensure 1 Gp Reserve representation with RAuxAF Inspectorate, both through online communications and meetings in addition to attendance at conferences, meetings and events as required.
