An established and highly respected engineering group is seeking a QHSE Advisor to join their team and support two complementary businesses operating from the same site. The group has a long-standing reputation for delivering high-quality work on a number of prestigious engineering and construction projects and offers a structured, stable working environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive QHSE professional who enjoys being hands-on, visible on site, and working closely with operational teams to drive high standards across quality, health, safety, and environmental compliance.
Reporting directly to the Health & Safety Manager, you will work collaboratively to ensure QHSE activities are delivered to a consistently high standard across both businesses. Your time will be split between the two companies, providing variety while remaining based on a single site.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting and promoting a positive health, safety, quality, and environmental culture
- Conducting internal audits and inspections across the site
- Assisting with the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of ISO management systems
- Supporting incident investigations, risk assessments, and method statements
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and internal procedures
- Working closely with operational teams to drive continuous improvement
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a QHSE, HSE, or similar advisory role
- Strong working knowledge of health & safety legislation and best practice
- Experience carrying out audits and inspections
- ISO knowledge (e.g. ISO 9001, 14001, 45001)
- A collaborative, practical approach with strong attention to detail
- The confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels
