Job Description
Location: Norwich
Are you a recent engineering graduate looking to launch your career in technical sales? This is an excellent opportunity to join an established organisation as a Graduate Internal Sales Engineer, where you'll develop your skills in tender preparation and technical sales support.
In this role, you'll be responsible for preparing competitive tenders for global business opportunities, working closely with customers to understand their technical requirements, and supporting the sales team in promoting our products worldwide.
What you'll be doing:
- Preparing comprehensive tenders following receipt of customer requests for quotation.
- Reading and reviewing customer technical specifications and commercial requirements in detail.
- Producing accurate cost estimates using internal costing systems.
- Providing detailed technical clarifications to customers on submitted bids.
- Communicating effectively with customers and Original Equipment Manufacturers.
- Liaising with internal Engineering teams to ensure technical queries are answered accurately and promptly.
- Supporting the Global Quotation Team in promoting the company brand and assisting with product sales.
- Ensuring full compliance with company Management Systems, incorporating Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety requirements.
What we're looking for:
- GCSE Grade C or above in English & Maths (or equivalent) is essential.
- Strong communication skills at all levels, with excellent written and verbal abilities and well-developed interpersonal skills.
- Good organisational skills with a genuine ability to multitask effectively.
- Excellent time management skills coupled with the ability to prioritise workload efficiently.
Desirable (but not essential):
- Degree qualification in Engineering or similar applicable field.
- Understanding of Rotating Electrical Machines.
- Experience working within an engineering manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience in a similar commercial role.
- Self-confidence to challenge colleagues appropriately when necessary.
