Key Responsibilities:
As a General Assembly Operative, you will work as part of a small team to perform manufacturing functions in accordance with relevant standards and certification procedures.
Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Mechanical assembly
  • Hydro testing
  • Wiring assemblies
  • Preparation and cleaning down of finished product

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Reading and comprehending instructions and following established procedures.
  • Collecting all materials and equipment needed for the process.
  • Taking precision measurements to ensure the perfect fit of components.
  • Selecting or modifying components based on measurements and specifications.
  • Aligning materials and assembling parts to create complex units.
  • Conducting quality checks to ensure the highest product quality.
  • Maintaining equipment in good, clean condition.
  • Reporting any issues, malfunctions, or defective parts.
  • Adhering to all health and safety regulations.

Skills:

  • Use of hand tools is an advantage
  • Full training will be given on the above.

Ideal Candidate:
To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and qualities:

  • Proven experience as an assembler is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.
  • Technical knowledge and the ability to read drawings and adhere to procedures.
  • Competence in using tools and machines.
  • A good understanding of quality control principles.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Exceptional hand-eye coordination and physical condition.
  • A strong commitment to health and safety practices.

Salary:
From £12.21 per hour plus.
