We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Partnerships Lead to join our team and play a key role in expanding our reach and impact. Working closely with the Head of Partnerships, you’ll lead the development of our external partnerships and growth agenda—helping us connect with more people, strengthen our community presence, and deliver measurable results. This is a strategic and hands-on role where you will:
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain partnerships that increase membership and lending
- Expand our presence across the Common Bond
- Lead and inspire a high-performing Partnerships team
- Shape how we engage with stakeholders and communities
You’ll work collaboratively across teams—especially with Marketing—to ensure partnerships are supported by impactful campaigns and meaningful member engagement initiatives.
What you'll be doing- Building and managing employer and community partnerships that drive growth
- Identifying and developing new opportunities to expand our reach
- Negotiating and maintaining strong, long-term stakeholder relationships
- Representing the organisation at national conferences and sector events
- Leading, supporting and developing the Partnerships Officer team
- Setting clear objectives and overseeing performance management and appraisals
- Ensuring training and development plans are in place for your team
- Working closely with Marketing to align campaigns with partnership goals
- Using data and insights to shape messaging, products and digital strategies
- Sharing feedback from stakeholders to influence organisational direction
- Monitoring and reporting on partnership performance and outcomes
- Managing budgets and ensure a strong return on investment
- Providing regular updates on membership growth and partnership activity
- Acting as an ambassador for our brand and values
- Ensuring all partnership activity aligns with regulatory standards
- Maintaining consistency across all stakeholder communications
- A strong relationship builder with excellent stakeholder management skills
- Experienced in partnerships, business development, or external engagement
- A confident leader, able to develop and inspire others
- Commercially aware, with experience driving measurable growth outcomes
- Data-driven, with the ability to turn insights into action

- Flexibility to travel nationwide to build and maintain key partnerships
Salary from £31,095 + car allowance. Be part of an organisation that puts people before profit. Play a key role in expanding access to fair and ethical financial services. You don’t need to have any experience in a Credit Union as full training is provided. Hybrid working is available for all employees, with a minimum 3 days at our offices in Birmingham (between 9am and 4:30pm) and the rest from home if you prefer.
