Servca are an international, owner-managed Lloyd’s Broker headquartered in the UK with offices in Canada and Europe. Servca specialise in Professional Indemnity, D&O, Medical Malpractice and Liability risks originating from direct ‘Retail’ clients and from our global partner brokers (Wholesale business).

In line with our strong growth, we are seeking a highly driven Commercial Broker to grow UK and international business.

This individual will be a highly motivated, self-starter able to identify and develop new business prospects.

Key responsibilities/tasks

Develop new business with new and existing regional brokers by placing business into various Lloyd’s of London facilities set up by the company.
Leverage existing insurer relationships in placement of risks.
Follow up on leads and conduct research to identify potential prospects.
Follow, build and cultivate prospective relationships by initiating communications and conducting follow-up communication with new and existing partners globally.
Leverage existing relationships to contribute to the company and its future advancements.

Skills and Experience

Minimum 2 years experience in commercial broking professional indemnity & liability insurance including wordings, clauses and endorsement specifics.
Lloyd’s of London experience would be ideal, although not compulsory.
Demonstrated ability to meet and/or exceed risk placement targets.
A proven track record of strong insurer relationships.
Business development skills would be advantageous.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint).
Experience with using main-stream insurance CRMs.
Ability to follow up leads to build the prospect pipeline.
Knowledge of and experience in setting up binders, schemes and delegated authorities would be beneficial.
