About the Role: To carry out loss assessment calculations for the PR Guarantee cases and deal with related remedial work, complaints and queries, to ensure fair treatment and satisfactory outcomes for customers. Calculations should be carried out in accordance with the guidance issued for the industry wide review of personal pensions. The review concerns the remediation of mis-sold individual pension plans between April 1988 and June 1994 that resulted in customers opting out of, not joining or transferring benefits from occupational pension schemes.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven analytical and investigative skills.
- Good inter-personal, organisational and time management skills.
- Demonstrates good telephone and communication skills.
- Solid skills in report writing and use of all Microsoft office products.
- Proven ability to adapt to change and have a flexible attitude at work.
Desirable:
- Working knowledge of the Respond complaints system.
- Working knowledge of the PRESS calculations tool.
- A comprehensive understanding of Final Salary (defined benefit) pension schemes.
- An awareness and understanding of the Industry Wide Review of Personal Pensions.
- A detailed understanding of ReAssure’s pension products and the options available to customers at retirement.
- An awareness of Risk and Regulation in relation to the pensions review and current pensions legislation.
- Awareness and understanding of Data Protection Requirements.
- Ideally educated to ‘A’ level standard or recognised equivalent.
- Knowledge of Financial Services products.
- Awareness of FCA complaint handling environment and legislation.
- Knowledge of requirements for salesforce structure and controls.
