About Servaada, a Wipro company: Servaada is Wipro UK entity, authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), the UK financial services regulator, to undertake regulated activities on behalf of its clients, as an outsourced service provider.
This role is pivotal to the success of the execution of our clients’ business model, overseeing the detailed operation of the Recs and Banking & Corporate Action teams. The role holder must be able to assimilate the complexity of the business proposition and have a sound understanding of the regulatory framework required to run the teams.
The role holder will be responsible for the management of the teams and, as a role model, demonstrate behaviours aligned to the company core values, in order to maximise team performance and deliver outstanding service in line with agreed key performance indicators.
- Responsibility for the Recs & Banking and Corporate Action teams
- Daily internal and external client money reconciliations & investigation
- Internal and external custody reconciliation & investigation
- Regulatory returns & claims
- Nominee and Investment Manager payment processing
- Cheque processing and banking
- Cash interest processing
- Work with the departmental management teams to maintain a collaborative approach in achieving the departmental service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Responsible for Team Leader development through structured one-to-one sessions, appraisals and individual training and development plans
- Remain up to date on all relevant external regulatory requirements and internal processes to ensure that all team procedures remain accurate and approved
- Handle any escalated enquiries and complaints, liaising with the appropriate colleagues to achieve resolution
- Support the business with user acceptance testing and disaster recovery cycles, as directed
- Achieve and actively maintain own skills and knowledge to adhere to the Training and Competency framework
- Ensure that the risk management process is promoted, supported, managed, and implemented effectively within the team. Liaise with the Risk Team to help identify and manage risk effectively
Good understanding of investments, investment products and wrap platforms. In depth financial services experience. Investment Management Certificate (IMC), Investment Operations Certificate (IOC) or equivalent industry recognised qualification. Financial services experience. Understanding of investments and investment products.
Communication: Communicate clearly and concisely, tailoring content and style, with ability to make a positive impression on others. Working successfully with others and building a network of good relationships in order to achieve shared goals.
Performance Focus: Demonstrate energy and enthusiasm, takes ownership, delivers results and improves personal performance.
