I'm working with a leading sporting organisation based in London who are looking to recruit a Director of Operations for the business. The role will lead the strategic and operational delivery of all stadium facilities and large-scale event operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of all operational functions.
  • Implement and lead on an operations strategy across the business.
  • Key areas of focus across event day delivery, health and safety, IT, and facilities.
  • Management of all Capex projects and project management.
  • Lead on the relationship with a wide range of contractor agencies across facilities, grounds team, security, and spectator teams.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of all event day operational and safety plans, ensuring full compliance.
  • Lead all facilities management functions across the venue.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of all Health & Safety policies, systems of work, and contractor control processes across the Club.
  • Oversee and manage a team of around 10 individuals, ensuring you implement a fantastic team culture.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working across large scale events across tournaments or stadiums.
  • Previous experience in a senior event operations background (7+ years minimum).
  • Proven team management experience.
  • Ability to lead a team of 10 individuals.
  • Deep understanding of the SGSA Guide to Safety at Sports Grounds, HSE standards, and UK licensing and compliance frameworks.
  • Strong commercial, financial, and strategic acumen.
  • NVQ Level 4 in Spectator Safety Management.
