Competitions / Tournament Manager sought by a global sports federation, to lead the administration for major sports events across the calendar year. The successful candidate will have previous experience in event operations and administration within the sports industry, whilst also having strong event planning and project management skills. This role will also oversee 2 more junior team members and therefore, line management experience would be very beneficial. This is an excellent opportunity to join a globally recognised organisation within a tier-1 sport, and play a key role in the delivery of high-profile events.
Day-to-day:
- Create and maintain a Master Plan to ensure timelines and action points are adhered to, addressing any issues or delays as they arise.
- Take responsibility for the upkeep and maintenance of the Master Plan, sharing updates and information with relevant departments as required.
- Serve as the central point of contact across all departments, maintaining oversight of all aspects Events, including sports operations, ticketing, transportation, hotels, security, live streaming, and communications.
- Act as the main point of contact for all participating nations at this level.
- Allocate and manage responsibilities assigned to team members.
Key Skills:
- Experience working in an international environment, particularly in international relations with federations or governing bodies.
- Proven background in event administration, within the sports industry.
- Strong planning and organisational abilities, with the capacity to prioritise effectively and work independently.
- Advanced IT proficiency, particularly in developing and managing detailed project plans.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to assess playing formats and interpret sporting data and statistics.
