Contract Electrician – New Build Housing Location: Hampshire Rate: £22 -£30 Per hour Contract: Long-term Contract Start Date: Immediate Hours: Monday–Friday The Role We are currently looking for experienced Contract Electricians to join a busy new-build housing project. You will be responsible for carrying out 1st and 2nd fix electrical installations across new-build houses , working to project specifications, drawings and required electrical standards. This is an excellent opportunity for electricians looking for consistent, long-term contract work on an established housing development. Key Responsibilities Complete 1st fix electrical installations on new-build houses. Complete 2nd fix electrical installations through to completion. Install wiring, containment, sockets, switches, lighting and accessories. Install consumer units and distribution equipment. Carry out electrical testing and fault finding. Read and work from electrical drawings and specifications. Ensure installations are completed to a high standard. Work to site schedules and agreed plot completion dates. Liaise with site managers and other trades. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Complete relevant certification and paperwork. Follow all site Health & Safety procedures. Requirements NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Electrical Qualification or equivalent. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations . Proven experience working on new-build housing projects . Strong experience completing both 1st and 2nd fix installations. Ability to work from electrical drawings. Good understanding of domestic electrical installations. ECS/JIB card preferred. Full UK driving licence preferred. Previous housebuilding/site experience essential.
