As a Remedial Plumber, you will be responsible for carrying out plumbing repairs, installations, and maintenance in both residential and commercial properties. You will play a vital role in ensuring that systems are safe, compliant, and operational. The role involves working independently or as part of a team, with regular travel around the London area. Key Responsibilities * Diagnose, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including hot and cold-water systems. * Perform remedial works, such as pipework replacements, valve repairs, leak detection, and system upgrades. * Inspect, test, and ensure compliance with water regulations (e.g., WRAS). * Collaborate with other trades where necessary to resolve issues effectively. * Provide excellent customer service, maintaining Surevent’s reputation for professionalism and quality. * Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations. * Complete and submit job reports and other documentation promptly using Surevent’s digital systems. * Participate in the on-call rota (if applicable) and respond to emergency call-outs as required. Qualifications and Experience Essential: * NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent). * Previous experience in a remedial plumbing role. * Knowledge of water regulations and compliance standards (WRAS certification preferred). * Experience working in residential and commercial environments. * Full UK driving licence. * Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Desirable: * Additional qualifications, such as unvented systems, energy efficiency, or Legionella awareness. * Familiarity with digital reporting tools and systems.
