We’re looking for a multi-skilled, HVAC-biased M&E Engineer to join our client an award-winning Facilities Management team. You’ll work autonomously across client sites, delivering PPM and reactive maintenance across mechanical and electrical systems.

Duties include:

  • HVAC system fault-finding and minor repairs
  • Planned maintenance: water hygiene checks, emergency lighting tests
  • General plumbing and electrical works
  • BMS system fault-finding
  • Use of mobile phone/tablet for reporting and scheduling

Requirements – Essential:

  • City & Guilds 2382 / BS 7671 (18th Edition)
  • F-Gas Qualification (C&G 2079)
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in a mechanical or electrical trade
  • Valid UK driver’s license
  • Experience in facilities maintenance or similar field
  • Excellent communication skills and proactive work ethic
  • Awareness of Health & Safety in the workplace
  • Comfortable using mobile devices and scheduling apps

Desirable Qualifications / Skills:

  • HVAC systems experience
  • CSCS/ECS card
  • IOSH or equivalent H&S qualification
  • Legionella awareness (L8)
  • Emergency lighting knowledge (BS 5266)
  • Unvented hot water systems
  • Electrical inspection & testing (C&G 2391)
  • Basic generator, drainage, or controls knowledge
  • PASMA/IPAF training

You’d be responsible for both planned maintenance (such as water hygiene and emergency lighting checks) and reactive tasks (including fault-finding on HVAC, BMS, plumbing, and electrical systems). It’s an autonomous role, ideal for someone who enjoys variety and hands-on problem solving.
