Overview
SERT is recruiting up to 25 experienced Wet Work Engineers / Plumbers to support a major retrofit programme across London and the Home Counties. This role is ideal for qualified tradespeople with strong experience in water-based heating systems, looking for steady, well-paid subcontractor work.

Job Title: Wet Work Engineers / Plumbers Subcontractor Roles
Location: London & Home Counties (Multiple Positions Available)
Pay: Excellent day rates | Consistent pipeline of work
Job Type: Subcontractor | CIS
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct power flushing to remove debris and improve system efficiency
 - Replace hot water cylinders in line with current safety and compliance standards
 - Install and upgrade radiators, TRVs, and associated pipework
 - Assess and advise on heating layouts and radiator sizing
 - Diagnose and repair faults within domestic heating systems
 - Liaise professionally with householders and maintain a high standard of customer service
 - Follow all relevant health, safety, and compliance procedures
 
Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent qualification)
 - Proven experience with power flushing and hot water cylinder replacements
 - Strong understanding of domestic central heating systems
 - Ability to interpret schematics and heating layouts
 - Own tools, flushing machine, and suitable vehicle (preferred)
 - UTR number and eligibility to work as a CIS subcontractor

 - Contractor Rate: £35/hour
 - Direct Labour Package:
- £39,000 basic pay / £750/week guaranteed basic (even if no jobs)
