This role offers a competitive package and salary range between £90,000 - £110,000 DOE. We are looking for an accomplished and commercially astute Finance Director to lead our finance and payroll function, with full oversight of financial operations across the business. This is a senior leadership role, working closely with the CEO and executive team to shape and deliver the financial strategy that drives efficiency, profitability, and sustainable growth.
You will bring both operational rigour and strategic foresight, playing a pivotal role in steering the business forward and supporting data-driven decision making at the highest level. Having an understanding of the UK social housing or construction market would be beneficial.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and inspire the finance and payroll team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain robust financial control systems to ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Drive the budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning processes to support strategic objectives.
- Partner with sales, operations, and leadership teams to deliver commercial insight and support performance improvement.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly management accounts and statutory submissions.
- Manage risk and ensure adherence to financial regulations and audit requirements.
- Provide high-level financial analysis and advice to support key business decisions.
- A fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant experience in a senior finance leadership role.
- Strong technical expertise in financial reporting, cash flow management, and commercial analysis.
- Proficient in ERP systems with advanced Excel skills.
