Buyer £40,000 + Benefits | Whiteley (with some days in Lee-on-the-Solent).

Were looking for an experienced Buyer to join our dynamic team someone who thrives on building strong supplier relationships, negotiating great deals, and keeping our operations running smoothly.

As our Buyer, youll play a key role in sourcing, purchasing, and managing the inventory of goods and services that keep our business moving. Youll be responsible for ensuring we get the best value, quality, and reliability from our suppliers while supporting the companys growth and sustainability goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver procurement strategies aligned with our business objectives.
• Manage supplier relationships identifying, evaluating, and maintaining trusted partnerships.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to secure the best possible outcomes (many systems and agreements are already in place, but ongoing management is key).
• Ensure compliance with company policies and all legal regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance within our procurement system.
• Collaborate across teams working closely with finance, logistics, and product departments to ensure smooth procurement operations.

What Were Looking For

• Previous experience as a Buyer ideally within an electrical business.
• Solar or renewable energy knowledge would be a great bonus.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and organisational skills.
• A proactive approach to maintaining supplier relationships and internal systems.
